It's been nearly 5 years since I updated😳😳
Where has time gone??!
We've done lots of days out to flamingoland, lightwater valley, one of them was a Halloween themed day, Preston Park, museum and butterfly World, Redcar. We've had weeks away at crimdon dene and blue dolphin caravan parks and weekends away at Scarborough, Chester zoo and Manchester sealife.
We've welcomed 3 babies and we've yet to welcome another and we've lost people along the way.
Theres been alot of highs and lows but we keep on trucking on.
My girls have grown alot, they are truly amazing girls just not always with each other.
Trixie lost some hair, turns out she was anemic, she didn't cry getting her bloods taken, her hair is still growing back now around her hairline
Lili still has check ups with Newcastle every year, this is the last time I managed to get them to wear matching dresses😭
Lili and lacey are still thick as thieves now as they were at 3
Trixie and Abel are also thick as thieves together, I love their friendship and how alike they can be
Lightwater valley halloween weekend
Trixie started gymnastics after school with the schools pe teacher, what was once a soft play is now a gymnastics centre, she went for about a year and half, loved it but she started struggling with vibrations caused by the warehouses fans so stopped going

Durham fire and ice, we haven't done this for a few years, the days always fall on Darren's days
For tyes birthday one year, a group of us done a weekend away, went to Chester zoo, checked into a travel lodge, forgot to book a table for dinner ahead of time and ended up with pizza shop for dinner instead, kids were wiped out, the next morning we checked out and went to Manchester Trafford centre and sealife centre and then went home, so bloody glad to be home
At sealife we found a new species of turtle called a Trixie turtle
Weekend away at Scarborough, found a lovely basement apartment at the opposite end of Scarborough to sealife centre, did we have the girls walk from one end to the other, walk around sealife and then walk all the way back again? Of course, was everyone absolutely exhausted? Yep

2022 Lili left primary school and started secondary, currently she's in year 10
2022 was the year Trixie started backing away from wearing her Swedish dresses, I've stocked up on lots of sizes whenever I found them cheap so she's still got some but barely worn
2022 was also the year we welcome our baby Gillie, she's about to turn 4 and she's such a sassy little witch who loves her princess dresses and shoes and will scream at you that she's a princess if you ever dare to call her lovely

2024 Week away at crimdon dene, photos with Lili are getting few and far between now she's getting older
My mam bought lili 2 baby rats in 2023 for her birthday, Theodore was her favourite and she would take him for a walk on a lead😂
2023 was also the year me and Lucy started working for the same company, whilst we only worked together twice everyone knew we were friends.. Questioned if it was actually more too, not a new question for us because both of our families and friends have questioned it and being us we played into it
2024 was also the year the girls met Darren's new girlfriend and her kids they are lovely but after a few intense interactions me and Darren now avoid each other, me more than him, we text about the kids, he tries to text me for conversation but I grey rock that, invite myself for dinner for Christmas and Easter but stay as short as possible
In 2024 me and Trixie went to Staithes to meet the RNLI we got water safety advice, tried on equipment, soaked Lucy with a hose to prove the outfit worked and also seen the lifeboat
Several weeks before Lilis 14th birthday, a rather pregnant pissed off Jayne said to Lili if you don't behave I'm going to have this baby on your birthday, we woke up on Lilis birthday to a brand new baby Tru, born at home in the early hours
2025 was a fucking year!! Let's never repeat it

We went to blue dolphin, it was bloody cold but a nice week away, we needed the time together
Here's my dad ferrying the girls to hospital to visit my mam. Mam and dad went camping at Osmotherly with Jayne and her kids and Jack and Ilona, first night there mam has a heart attack, she's bought back to Middlesbrough rather than a hospital closer to Osmotherly, I got woken up by a call off Nicki, ignored the call seen Jack had sent a group message saying mams had a heart attack she's ok she's at James Cook, so I'm up calling Nicki back saying wait for me I'm coming to hospital with you, called work and got a few days off, got to the hospital seen my mam, she's out of it on morphine and lack of sleep, I told everyone to go pack up the camp stuff and I'd stay with mam and keep everyone updated since I was the best one to understand what's being said and what's happening, long story short, a week in the hospital 2 stents fitted and she was sent home, I'm sure my mam was sick of me after that week
Jack and Ilona run off to get married! Well the honeymoon since it was booked first, weddings still to happen, but how gorgeous. Wedding will have to wait because they announced a baby boy to be born in July, we can't wait🩵
In other new this year Lili got fitted for braces, finally one step closer to the next surgery, it was a choice she chose on her own after previously refusing them due to the fact she can't have bubble gum
The current grandkid picture, Christmas this year we will have 9 kids to corral into the frame, it's stressful and it's hectic but we wouldn't have it any other way
Now in 2026, Trixie has been saying for months, mam I want glasses, thinking to myself, yeah of course you do, all the kids have glasses so you want some but she's never complained that she was struggling to see, her teacher tells me one night picking her up from after school club, Trixie said she couldn't seen the board today, I asked how far the board is she said maybe 4 meters away, I said ah OK I'll get her in to be seen and let you know... Yeah no the kids bloody badly short sighted, she picked out 2 pairs of glasses, chose Harry Potter ones as her main set and green Barbour dog frames as her back ups, she counted down the 14 day wait with the teachers to pick up her glasses and she's been very good at remembering to put them on each morning and making sure they are clean and put away properly later on

There's not alot to tell about me, I'm very happy being single, focusing on me, it's going to take someone extra special to get me to open up to a relationship but also single life hasn't been bad I've rediscovered me which has been the best part, it's given me the chance to relearn myself, to find out what I like and dislike, to find my voice again and has she got a voice!!
I will make a better attempt at keeping up with this but I'll apologise now incase I don't and I need to do another big catch up.
