Although Sonnies birthday fell on a Wednesday which was also a school day He still had a good day, burger and chips for tea and then cake.
Made up for it the following Saturday, He chose to go to Newcastle for the museums and tea.
9.45am bus to Newcastle getting there at around 11am.

It was easiest to start at the Hancock museum first. Dippy the diplodocus is there until November I think, the kids loved the animals on display and the Egyptian interactive in the tomb.
We then went to Leazes Park to let the kids run off some energy, the park has changed quite a bit since we were last here too.
Discovery museum hasn't changed much, they added a temporary lego area but that was it. All the kids had fun, Lili was most excited to get to the top floor to play air hockey, she still thinks she's the best.
When we finally left this museum, we made our way to zazas at the gate. I've only been to the gate once before to go to the cinema and didn't realise that there are so many places to eat on the ground floor. I personally wouldn't recommend zazas, nicki hyped it up massively and it wasn't at all as nice as she made out. Too much of the food was made to order in front of you and with a toddler that just wasn't good and there wasn't much for a toddler to eat that wasn't massively messy or spicy, Trixies not a fussy eater at all but she prefers food she can hold in her hand than food that needs cutlery. Apparently its better later in the evening when the evening food comes out so its something I'd have to give another go. But we had lots of fun on the bus home with Snapchat filters.
